The one who mastered the art of networking
"Work hard, play hard" is a common phrase to encounter in the buzzing city of Dubai. Networking quickly becomes a requirement for those who aspire to belong and break the superficial ice of the expat lifestyle. Many opportunities lies ahead for those who can catch them and it all started with one of those networking events.

Golf Tournament & Unimpressive Apparel
As an expat, it is common to integrate private clubs and business councils to connect with like-minded individuals and leaders with similar upbringing. Dubai winter offered the perfect opportunity to put business cards asside and evaluate the crowd on what really mattered: their swing.
The only (small) issue was that our VHD team didn't yet master the art of golf and was soon looking for apparel that could somewhat help them look the part.
Yet, this soon became another disappointment as it became obvious that golf clothing is the Middle East is too expensive, doesn't look elegant nor flattering.
"We are not finding golf clothes for ourselves here so maybe we should make it ourselves."

The Dresscode Never Said "Average"
Golf holds quite of a level of prestige and traditions as a sport. It is associated with dreamy sceneries and makes it such a beautiful sport to play. The golf scene in the Middle East itself diplays already such impressive courses such as Al Mouj, Yas Links, Royal Greens and Emirates Hills, for example.
The idea of VHD first came from the willingness to dress accordingly and reconnect to the tradiotional elegance and timelessness of its apparel.
The first drawings were made in Dubai, in December 2024, which was more than a year after that first "Should we launch our own golf brand ?" chat at a local cafe. It took us that long to actually take the step of translating daydreaming into an action plan.
"We want beautiful products and we would rather take too long but create something we can be proud of than having a flimsy result. If we do this, then we are going to do it right."

When the Fairway Meets the Dunes
First collection has released in November 2025.
VHD now aims to leave a local footprint in the Middle East's golf scene. The current apparel seems to miss the point and isn't cut for the local weather and heat. The current collections available in stores seems to hold all the colours of the rainbow and get its style lost in a storm of strange patterns.
VHD focuses on timeless colours and elegant design. We are emphasizing on fitting and breathability of fabric.
"We wanted to create golf clothes we could wear for ourselves. And we did."
